The sanitary sewer lining program extends the life of sanitary sewer pipes, reduces the amount of stormwater run-off infiltrating the sanitary sewer, and helps to restore the city’s overall sanitary sewer system capacity without the disruptions or cost of open excavation.

Lines selected for the annual program are identified and prioritized as a result of maintenance, inspection and other studies conducted.

As with all planned sewer maintenance activities, affected property owners are notified when sewer lining is conducted.
