(January 29, 2026) The City of Davenport has been honored with the Triple Crown Award from the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA), recognizing the City’s commitment to excellence across multiple areas of financial reporting.

The Triple Crown is a prestigious award presented to communities that have received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award in the same fiscal year.

“These honors demonstrate the City’s commitment to transparency in the way it manages taxpayer dollars,” said Tim Gleason, Interim City Administrator. “I expect this high standard, and the Finance team delivers.”

The Davenport City Council is now moving into budget planning for Fiscal Year 2027. The proposed operating budget for FY2027 is $176 million. The Capital Improvement Plan budget is $65.7 million, including a $24.5 million investment in the street network.
