In addition to our year-round schedule of classes and mainstage productions, we offer special, week-long camps during the spring and summer seasons.  We are proud to have one of the most affordable and exciting camp programs in the QC area.

Students adventure throughout Junior Theatre, exploring all elements acting, theater design, and a wide array of other fun topics while collaborating on ideas for the creation of their very own script that they perform on the final day!

At the DJT Dance program our professional instructors help create a lifetime of poise and confidence for all our students of every level.  We offer a quality, professional program that is focused on affordability for all families.

We offer a wide variety of classes!  Whether you're interested in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, tumbling, poms or more, we have a class that will excite your child to learn and explore.

DJT Dance is an excellent opportunity for students, whether they are interested in pursuing the arts their whole lives or simply want to gain more confidence while having fun!

Brave! Bold! Fun! That's what we constantly strive for as we seek to challenge kids onstage, offstage and in the audience with amazing theatre!

The Mainstage production series not only serves the kids who audition, but also the entire community by creating theatre that the whole family can come and enjoy.

Mainstage plays are by audition only and consist of students ages 10 and up from all over the Quad City area.  Students must have completed a Junior Theatre class or camp before auditioning.  The Mainstage brings together students with local professional designers and directors to create high-quality productions at an affordable rate to all.  Students are not only the actors onstage, but they are also the crew, front-of-house team, Showtime Pal, and more.

We produce three fully-realized productions in the Mary Fluhrer-Nighswander Theatre on the Annie Wittenmyer Complex. We also engage in workshops and summer projects for the Mainstage. 

Mainstage productions are funded and produced by Junior Theatre Inc, a non-profit entity dedicated to supporting Davenport Junior Theatre. The only way Junior Theatre can survive is by the generosity of others who believe in our mission.

For over 70 years Davenport Junior Theatre has given students the tools to express imaginatively, dream big, and have fun!  Skills and friendships found here last a lifetime.  All classes are led by top area professionals.  Every class concludes with a showcase onstage in our very own Nighswander Theatre. 

Not only do we offer acting, improv, broadway and other performance based classes; we are also proud to offer a variety of design classes like puppetry, costumes, theatre design and more!  Onstage or offstage, kids gain confidence.

Whether students pursue a life in the arts or not, our goal is to have them communicating clearly, confidently and creatively. These skills will serve them no matter where life may lead.
