Organizational & Talent Development
The City of Davenport is nurturing a strengths-based environment, focusing on strengthening our employees’ natural talents & strengths and allowing them to do what they do best every day. As the City’s Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, the Talent & Inclusion Administrator utilizes one-on-one and team coaching to increase individual and colleague awareness of our innate talents.
Davenport Strengths Institute (DSI) is a 12-month strengths and leadership journey that began in July, 2017. This 15 member cross-departmental cohort participates in this year-long strengths-based leadership development program. Subsequent classes will commence every 6 months thereafter.
Strengths are a springboard for our employees to have meaningful conversations that build trust and help teams accomplish shared goals. They also allow the City to attract top talent and creates a more engaged and productive workplace.
