The City of Davenport's Urban Homestead Loan Program utilizes federally funded grants to provide home ownership opportunities for low and moderate income households. Community & Economic Development staff works closely with applicants throughout the entire process to determine eligibility.

The City of Davenport currently has three homes that are ready to be sold to a family in Davenport!

Public open houses will be held on March 1, March 2, March 22, and March 23 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

The City of Davenport is now accepting applications for the listed properties above! Click here to view and download an application. Applications are also available for pick up at City Hall. Applications must be returned by April 4, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. to the Community and Economic Development Office in City Hall.

Staff has enjoyed welcoming families into their new homes. Read two stories of recent new homeowners in our community through the Urban Homestead Program.

The City of Davenport says "Welcome Home" to the Dickerson family. BreaLynn & Donald Dickerson, along with their children, were recipients in our latest round of the Urban Homestead Program and are now proud homeowners. It has been a long journey and the hard work has paid off. As previous tenants of the Davenport Public Housing program for the past five years, after a long six years on the waiting list for that program, the family used the time to get organized and work hard to achieve their goals of home ownership. September was a month to remember for the Davis family. After applying for the Urban Homestead Loan Program, they were selected as one of the two final recipients for this round. They are now beginning their journey as homeowners, and with their children they are already making their new house a home. Congratulations to the Davis family, and Welcome Home!
