The Davenport Police Department's 26th annual Senior Light Tour was a shining success with a fantastic turnout thanks to to the community partners who make this event possible.
Davenport Police escorted the 27 buses and vans in the procession through neighborhoods decked out with holiday lights. About 450 seniors were able to ride along this year, thanks to CASI and participation from other senior living communities in the Quad Cities. Davenport Police want to offer special thanks to the many neighbors who came outside to wave and sing Christmas carols as the tour group drove by.
“We encourage everyone to take a moment to appreciate the joy this event brings to our senior residents,” said Davenport Police Sergeant Andrew Harris. “We hope it reminds everyone of the importance of community this holiday season. It wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community members and their wonderful holiday light creations.”
