W Locust between Gaines and Ripley is expected to fully re-open by the end of the day Monday, August 17. Be aware additional lane reductions will occur in a few weeks for microsufacing adjacent to this project area.

Things are going smoothly on the W Locust resurfacing project. Asphalt paving began earlier today. That means watch for changing traffic control as work flip sides on Saturday.

Davenport's aggressive construction budget will continue to bring more variety to your commute next week. Beginning Monday, July 13th W Locust will be reduced to one lane of travel in each direction between Gaines and Ripley for street resurfacing. Consider an alternate route to avoid traffic delays.
Work will begin in the eastbound lanes and flip to the westbound lanes when eastbound resurfacing is complete.
Progress in this area will include milling, full-depth patching of targeted areas, new asphalt overlay, and updates to curbs and sidewalks.
The project is estimated to be complete by Monday, August 17th, pending weather and subsurface conditions.
