Davenport is blazing new trails! The City’s multimodal transportation system will soon see another expansion with the construction of the West Loop Trail. Grant funds totaling $522,000 will be used to install the $841,000 expansion between Central Park and Emeis Park Drive and W Locust and Wisconsin Streets.
The trail will be installed alongside the roadway, minimizing disruption to visitors of Emeis Park, Emeis Golf Course, and the Duck Creek Recreational Trail during construction. Completion is expected by late July or early August, weather permitting.
There is potential for future expansion between Wisconsin and W Locust to Wisconsin and 11th Street.
