(December 30, 2024) The City of Davenport is excited to announce the next round of homeowners to be awarded money through the Davenport DREAM Project. The City received 141 applications for $900,000 in available funding. Twenty-four projects for current homeowners and six new homeowner projects are tentatively approved for DREAM awards. The recipients will be contacted by City staff for initial consultation on their projects as the first step.

Applications for the sixth round of funding opened in August. Since 2019, the Davenport DREAM Project has awarded nearly $5.9 million dollars to revitalize 252 properties in the City’s heritage neighborhoods.

“When one person invests in their home, it has a ripple effect through the entire neighborhood,” said Bruce Berger, Community & Economic Development Director. “We’ve seen how a new fence or a fresh coat of paint impacts the way people feel about their homes.”

There is still money remaining for an additional four new homeowner projects. Applications are still being accepted for homeowners who have closed on a home in the last 45 business days in a Davenport DREAM Project neighborhood. More information on eligibility and how to apply can be found here.
