There are some fee changes that will go into effect at the Davenport Compost Facility beginning Saturday, April 1 2023. The fee change comes due to an overabundance of brush and trees and increasing supply costs. Having been in operation for over 25 years, this is only the second price increase at the Davenport Compost Facility since beginning operation in 1995.
We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may have; however, these minor price increases are necessary to remain fiscally responsible in serving the community.
Our fee changes are highlighted below:
- Commercial businesses will be charged a drop-off fee for yard waste, brush, wood chips and trees disposed of at the facility. Commercial drop-off fees will be as follows:
- Yard wastes - $.50 per Bag, $6.00 per Cubic Yard
- Brush, Branches, Chips, Trees, Logs and Stumps - $10.00 per Cubic Yard
- Compost Spreader Rentals will change to $30.00 Per day for the 24” Drop Spreader, and $50.00 Per Day for the ½ CY Spreader
- Bulk product rates will change to:
- $15.00 per Cubic Yard – Soil Builder Compost 1 to 40 CY; $10.00 per CY for 41 to 500 CY
- $30.00 per Cubic Yard – Enhanced Topsoil
- $22.00 per Cubic Yard – Potting Soil
- $25.00 per Cubic Yard – Garden Soil
- $20.00 per Cubic Yard – Mulch
- $18.00 per Cubic Yard – Wood Chips
- $5.00 per Bin – Firewood
