Property Records and Plat Maps

The City and County maintain property records, including details such as right-of-way, easements, and drainage ways.

Much of this information is easily accessible through our GIS Map Services.
 

Detailed property records and maps can also be obtained at the Public Works Counter or The Scott County Recorder’s Office. A fee may apply to these services. View our GIS Service Price List here.

Plat Maps
Original planning documents such as Plat Maps and Subdivision Plats can be obtained by visiting our offices as indicated above. You can also access plat records at the Scott County Land Records website.

Final plat maps are a more detailed representation and include exact easement locations, lot dimensions and dedication language for all public lands. A final plat is recorded with the Recorder's office of Scott County along with a series of certificates and any restrictive covenants.

Topographic Maps
Topographic maps including aerial photography, contour lines and planimetric information are also available for purchase at the Public Works Center. Inquiries may be made Public Works (listed above). View our GIS service price list here.
