To ensure equal and fair access to city facilities and services, the City of Davenport, the Public Works Department and its Divisions shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all other applicable federal, state and local regulations with regard to access to City facilities and services.

Compliance shall include, but is not limited to:

• Making reasonable accommodations when necessary to ensure accessible services to individuals with disabilities;
• Designing and constructing facilities and their improvements in compliance with ADA standards;
• Designing and constructing the public transit fleet, its appurtenances, and their improvements in compliance with ADA standards; and,
• Maintaining practices, policies and procedures that support fair and equal service delivery.
